Fraud Filters / Transaction Errors and Declines

With new accounts, we implement a few fraud filters to help prevent fraudulent transactions. You might see a couple of errors/declines that are related to these fraud filters. We recommend keeping our default fraud filters in place, but they are easy for us to adjust, so please reach out to support@freedommerchants.com or submit a ticket on our customer support site if you think these filters need adjustment.


In addition to the errors that occur due to violating the Default Fraud Settings, a few other common errors include:

  • Wrong card number / routing number
  • Insufficient Funds
  • Expired Card
  • Error Code 64000 * other errors beginning 64*** mean that the card issuer blocked the transaction for security reasons
